A new generation, MSX-2 was a revolution for the 1985 year, with an incredible features it could be the best sold computer, but MSX-2 had a little comercial support.

With a new VDP, the Yamaha V9938, MSX-2 could generate complex graphics and 512 colours with high resolutions, 512*424 and 256*212 with 256 simultaneous colours. VDP has 128 Kb VRAM, and a linear RGB output, 256 sprites in screen, eight in line and colour specification.

Finally MSX-2 assembled an 8 bits processor, the Z80A, and a new PPI from Intel: PPI-8255. MSX-2 has a new engine S-3257 with PSG and port controller.

The firms that made MSX-2 were: Sony, Philips, Sanyo, Mitsubishi, SVI, National, Canon, Panasonic, Daewoo, Gradiente y Yamaha.
