In the 1988 year the MSX-2+ was launched only in Japan, with a new Z80B at 6 Mhz, the main difference of the MSX-2 was its VDP, the new V9958 from Yamaha, a great VDP with 128 Kb VRAM and 19268 simultaneous colours thanks to the YJK system. V9958 can generate two scrolls by hardware, vertically and horizontally.
Another new was the YM2413 FM chip, with 8 FM channels and wonderful sound, with a engine that includes a PSG, sound impossible to believe 10 years ago.
