Tilburg 2000 - Little report

Saturday 15th of April, Wijkcentrum "De Schans" is for second time the location of the Tilburg fair, Leonardo Padial, Iván Isidro Esnaola and Rafael Corrales will present the news of our club.

Padial (LP Electronics) has an own stand in the third floor, and Iván and Rafael has a stand close to Sunrise one, we prepare the stands in a few moments.

Sunrise let us to install a big banner in the top of their stand.

Umax and Sunrise are together, they have a lot of great products like the new IDE version and RS232 cartridges (or both cartridges in one), the new RPG game called Realms Adventure and the second part of Pentaro Oddisey game. Sunrise show good V9000 demonstrations.

MSX NBNO is in the third floor presenting the new XSW magazine and a good music CD of PSG themes called PSG Dreams.

LP electronics shows good comparations between Z80 and Z380 performance, Padial gives explanations to all the visitors and he has many flyers of a Z380 article translated to dutch, in the stand there are a beautiful colour page with the main Z380 features. LP electronics also presents a new slotexpander called 4 Evolución, with great new advantages.

MSX Info Blad was in front of the LP Electronics stand presenting a wonderful new game from Japan called Kyojuken or something like that, they have a new magazine number.

The japanese visitors are a fair atraction, althought they have not important new products, they make auctions for selling all the products: several Turbo-R, 2+ computers and cartridges, they have MSX t-shirts and a cool robotized drumkit in coordination with the MSX.

In the Matra stand (they could not come due some last time problems) the GEM emulator programmer is installed, he is showing the 0.4 version of the Game Boy emulator for MSX and it looks nice because the interface is much better, and now it is possible to play some games with a reasonable speed, but the sprites are still unavaliable. GREAT WORK friends!!

In the main hall we see only one MSX stand, it is of Deltasoft, they are presenting a new game called Find it - Metal Gear solid edition, a game where you have to find all the differences between to images of Metal Gear Solid game. They have a curious SD Snatcher cards.

Unfortunately the organization installed all the PC stands in the main hall, bad decision.

In the second floor there are more stands, the MSX Amsterdammer club is presenting a MP3 decoder board for MSX, but I could not see it, Future disk has a new edition of their diskmagazine, this edition contains a spanish game called Sir Dan. And I could enjoy with the japanese people, they received a little gift from one dutch person, he gave them a Gouda cheese, cool.

MSX Fun club is showing a promo version of a videoedition program for Video9000, they do an inquiry for seeing if it is a good idea to finish this new program. They give Munzly chocolate to the visitors, "The best chocolate of the world" as you can remember from the Ray Tracking demo.

Just left to the stand MCCM groups is presenting the new web version of their magazine, MCCW.

¿What about our stand?, we thought to be with LP Electronics in the same stand, but finally Rafael and Iván were separated from Padial, we only have two new products, the new Xtory III compilation CD and the electronic magazine called ICM CD Magazine, with a good contents.

Suddenly the organization asked us to uninstall our stands, so in a moment we prepare the bags and we left the fair location, from our point of view the Tilburg fair is worse than precedent years and we do not like the PC presence in a typical MSX fair, we hope to enjoy with a pure and big MSX fair in Netherlands organized by some MSX group like Sunrise.
